Kausmedia, ever the friendly little wisp, manages to get along with almost everyone he meets. He has few prejudices and a lovely smile, and nobody who meets him can truly, honestly, say they hate him. The only dragons he has trouble socializing with are particularly aggressive Mirrors; something about them, the way they snap their teeth or the unsettling way they blink with their extra eyes when they're angry... it unsettles him. He grew up in a clan with a very aggressive pack of Mirrors; they would snap at his wings when he flew too close, intending to drive him away and scaring him half to death in the process. As he grew up, he generalized this behavior to many other species of dragon--it's anger that gets him now, rather than the species alone. When a dragon is angry around him, he gets almost too nervous to function. This is particularly harmful considering he's a skilled fighter; he gets thrown off his game too easily. As for his work, he is an odd combination of many things. He gathers food for the clan, and is an expert in identifying wild creatures and deciding whether they're safe to eat. With that knowledge he also uses herbs and other plants to make potions, like an apothecary would. He will also sell some of those potions, making a pretty penny off of them when the troupe needs it. With all of that going on, Kausmedia is a rather busy dragon. Kausmedia was also trained to fight; he's even stronger than his mother, a skilled fighter, now--meaning that if a fight ever breaks out, Kausmedia will be fighting on the front lines with those who actually train to be prepared for those moments. His nervousness might hurt him, there, but he's more useful than just anybody sent out there. |
