The Mother Witch

She's at the top of the so called Circle and is involved in all things Witches. She has to watch over all the witches and works as some kind of mediator and mentor and sometimes has to prevent those young witches from harming themselves or their environment. She's ancient and constantly reborn, always stuck with the same memories, pleasant or not. Nobody is too sure about her magic, though it has to be powerful. Isadora was born in a large coven full of very powerful and reckless witches - most of which really didn't care for rules or the dangers of magic and Isadora grew up alike. She was ambitious, but also vain and powerhungry just like a scholar thirst for wisdom. She and a group of peers tried a very dark and dangerous spell to make them even more powerful and it went horribly wrong, wiping out 4/5 of their clan (and not in the poof - they're gone way but more like a life force being sucked out and slowly rotting away kinda thing) and somewhat immortalizing Isadoras soul. She can still die but she is instatly reborn, looking exactly like she did before (no matter how her 'new parents' look) and with all her memories intact. That was nearly a millenial ago and since then she has been wandering through Sornieth and tried to educate other witches and mediate in their fights, only ever fighting herself when she needs to protect others (I mean watching your friends and family rotting away befor your eyes can be traumatizing I imagine) Before her first death she met a ridgeback witch named Felicitas who she fell in love with, they lived together and Felicitas helped her in her cause. In a fight with another witch Isadora experienced her first death. Closing her eyes dying and then immediately opening them again to look up to a very confused, bright red pair of pearlcatchers she realized something went wrong (she didn't knew these were the consequences of that spell gone wrong back then). She searched for a few years for Felicitas and later found out that while she did survive the encounter with the other witch, she later died of sickness, grieving and alone. Isadora didn't try to pursue a relationship again after that. She moved to Nemo s clan after she heard of the great number of witches already living there and the highly-magical comet buried inside their floating home. |
