Klauthen

A dragon once named Adeen, but has since renamed herself after her father and the very vale she grew up in when she still lived within Faerun and among her kin of the Cult of the Caustic Heart. Having grown up in the Klauthen Vale amongs her clutchmates under the watchful eye of her father, this little hatchling learned quite quickly that survival was only for the strong or those smart enough to manipulate the strong.
With her much frailer body in comparison and lack of malice towards the humanoid folk her Chromatic Kin had, Adeen decided it would be better to be smart and thus began her plan to manipulate and control her own clutchmates until she could make her escape. However, it was no secret how terrifying and intelligent her sire was, as Klauth was easily the eldest of Ancient Dragons still alive that had not become one of the undead or gone directly in service to their patron of Tiamat. Knowing she might outwit her siblings, but the chances of outwitting him were slim to none, Adeen had to think of alternative means of escape.
Her options were quite limited under his watchful gaze but over the years she managed to master the arcane arts enough to learn the spell that truly brought her salvation: Polymorph.
With this spell she began taking a humanoid form, taking the identity of a bard she'd met once many decades before that had long since passed that she then used as a means to create an information and underground network for her own use. It was by sheer luck that Klauth had never caught on and with this network she was able to hire adventurers and mercenaries in the hopes of creating a diversion that would allow her escape. But she knew a diversion would not be enough.
It would never be enough so long as she stayed with in Faerun. Within the Forgotten Realms. Thus, she sought a way to escape them all together.
This chance came when a group of adventurers, not hired by her, sought to slay her father and the Scaled Tyrant he served, Tiamat herself. The group was powerful, but not strong enough for such a venture and pleaded for her help against the two Great Wyrms. With this group of adventurers, she was able to finally gain the last piece that she needed: a deal with their Wizard so that she may leave the Forgotten Realms entirely using the power of their Wish.
The battle had taken many years to achieve and if Adeen was honest she never saw the ending of it. The Wizard kept their end of the bargain and used Wish to send her elsewhere before the final battle with Klauth and Tiamat. She sometimes wonders if they succeeded, of what became of her guild that she had founded, of her clutchmates in the Klauthen Vale and of her father, the Old Snarl Klauth.
The spell had sent her far from the Forgotten Realms, until she stood in lush forests made of trees that towered over her. To her surprise, the world she found herself in had few to no races she recognized and was dominated by dragons. Instead of a Red Chromatic Dragon, many called her a Guardian, due to her similarity to the breed. The Beast Clans waged war with dragons in many areas or lived in peace in many others. She found this world fascinating and wanted to travel.
But she did not want to do so as Adeen. She hated her father and wanted to be free of him, but her anger still surged at the thought of his name and her desire to see him dead had never truly gone away. Thus she decided to rename herself and become Klauthen. The Traveling Minstrel that promoted harmony and peace wherever she went.
After all, when her namesake was such a fierce and terrifying tyrant then what better death could there be for such a being then to reimagine him as a traveling spoony bard?
