Proud | Loner | Defensive | Highly Intelligent | Vain | Sarcastic
Although she is highly intelligent, Prima is a loner by nature, partially because of her abandonment as a pup. She didn’t get the proper Mirror socialization like she should have, turning her into something of a lone wolf. She is often defensive, as opposed to the offensive behavior of other members of her breed, preferring to lash out once someone comes to her as she has had bad experiences with confronting other dragons. Despite this, she is proud of herself, and also highly vain and sarcastic. Her highly contrasting personality traits are part of the reason why other dragons tend not to trust her, and why she has few friends. Her inner emotions also conflict in the same way, as she is torn between what her body automatically reacts to and what her brain tells her in order to be more sociable.

She does have one close friend in the Village: Tenuta, the Village healer. The two of them are incredibly close friends, though Prima suspects that Tenuta’s feelings are more than just those of a normal friend. In truth, Tenuta is madly in love with her, but Prima is still reeling from the betrayal of her past mate and the loss of her children. Because of this, she is unsure if she should attempt to start a relationship with Tenuta. She is afraid that Tenuta will end up not liking her and turning her back on her like her past mate, and she isn’t sure she could handle that.

***

Prima’s difficult life began shortly after she was born. Abandoned by her parents at a young age, she led the first few years of her life as a loner, which is odd for a Mirror dragon. After wandering the Shifting Expanse almost endlessly, she finally settled down in a Clan after catching the eye of a male Skydancer named Severin. The two of them fell madly in love, and he convinced his Clanmates to allow her to live with them. Not long after, Prima became pregnant, and gave birth to a litter of three. Her family was her pride and joy, and for the first time in her life, she was truly content.

That was, until she found out that her mate was unfaithful. After catching him with another female, she angrily confronted him, wanting to know the truth about what had happened. To her dismay, Severin admitted his affair, saying that he wanted to have a Skydancer mate more like him rather than a Mirror mate. He said that he didn’t believe she was a good mother, and that she was tainting the two Skydancer chicks with her “violent Mirror behavior.” Prima desperately tried to stay close to her Clan and her children, but Severin was able to twist the story around to present Prima as the unfaithful one. Her Clan banished her in shame, and Prima, heartbroken and not wanting to stick around any longer, fled. Not long after, she learned that her former mate and children had been exalted, save for one Skydancer who didn’t want anything to do with her. Enraged and hurt, Prima fled to the boarder of the Expanses and the Fire realm.

A little while, she met her second mate, Max. Max was everything Severin wasn't; kind, faithful, quiet, and strong. It took some time, but Prima eventually fell for him, and slowly but surely, he returned her feelings. They had two children together, and everything seemed to have worked itself out.

But then the bandits came.

Though both she and Max fought their hardest, the bandits stole their children and vanished. Max swore vengeance and left Prima, who was still injured, behind to heal. She never saw him again. She fell into a deep depression and left the Shifting Expanse, never wanting to return.

She wandered for a while, never finding a new home until she made it to the Arcane realm. Although not officially a part of the Impback Village, she visits often. Due to her sturdiness and power, she acts as a trader and carrier for some of the smaller members of the Village who can’t travel as far or as long as she can. The task also keeps her mind from wandering back to her old mate and children, and she is grateful for that.
