Tumbleweed

Born in the Viridian Labyrinth, Tumbleweed always felt out of place. The overflowing life and bustle of the Gladekeeper's domain grated on him and left him grumpy and sullen. He felt no calling to the Gladekeeper's service, and could never seem to settle on any activity for long. He felt purposeless, isolated, and stuck. As soon as he was deemed ready to leave his birth clan he struck out on his own, exploring first the bordering regions, then beyond.

From the moment he stepped foot in the Wandering Contagion, he could feel his spirits lift. Things were quieter, stiller. He could see far out into the horizon, and the sense of open space was as refreshing as the weird boils he occasionally stepped on were repugnant. He loved it. With all the enthusiasm and curiosity he had never had for his home he dashed through the Scarred Wasteland, exploring everything. Eventually he made his way all the way to the Rotrock Rim where he met Butch. The two immediately took a liking to one another, Butch seeing much of his younger self in Tumbleweed, and Tumbleweed welcomed and comforted by Butch's hospitality. In no time at all Tumbleweed happily joined the clan and rushed to prove himself a valuable member.

Cassidy and Butch took him in, showing him how they toured with pilgrims and escorted them to the Wyrmwound personally. It took many long hours of training and diligance, but eventually Tumbleweed had a strong enough immune system (and stomach) that he could do the same himself. Cassidy and Butch gladly passed on the torch of Exaltation Master to Tumbleweed, happy for the chance to dedicate more time to the duties of running the clan.

Today Tumbleweed is a bright face among the clan. He never really lost his grumpy edge, but over time it morphed into something more like an acerbic sense of humor. He's loud, blunt, aggressively cheerful, and at times alarmingly energetic. His familiar, Horse, he met exploring the Ghostlight Ruins, and the two have been inseparable since. They share the same boundless energy and morbid passion for the Plaguebringer, and everybody's a little bit glad Tumbleweed has somebody who can actually tire him out occasionally.
