Estellise arrived at Shenani Clan as a hatchling curled between Raspberry's spines. At first no one knew where she came from or why she was here, but as time went on rumors flitted about the lair from dragon to dragon. To this day, not many dragons can be sure about the details of her childhood, but rumor has it that her parents were of two different clans, and were torn asunder once their relationship was discovered.

She may or may not have witnessed her siblings as they were exalted, but all that can be said for sure is that she no longer has blood family. Raspberry had some connection to the mother who was able to send a last minute message for help, and Estellise was the only hatchling she could find at the scene.

As she grew, Estellise remained as quiet and suspicious as she was when she was small. She rarely speaks, and few (if any) dragons have seen her smile. Her living area is a small carved out tunnel at the base of the lair, about as far down as anyone will go. The tunnel itself is in poor condition, but she's stubborn about staying in it. (Probably secretly had new supports put in by Zaveid while she was out) The characteristics of this tunnel are what would later attract Cote, the resident self-proclaimed ghost hunter, to explore it.

As far as he knew the tunnel was unoccupied and Estellise gave him such a scare when the two encountered each other he returned to the surface with stories of a sad pearlcatcher ghost patrolling the tunnels. He proudly called his first discovery of a spirit a "residual type haunt", and he began to investigate the tunnels routinely to communicate.
Months later, Estellise was assigned as Cote's personal guard and his objections ebbed when he realized he'd been chattering away at a living dragon this whole time. He still calls her "Ghost" as some kind of nickname, and she has not objected. While the two had trouble getting along initially, Cote has ceased his attempts at making her smile or laugh and the tension has eased.

Their little group grew as time went on; Cote's little sister Zeria joined next and her insight on potential dangers has been incredibly helpful to Estellise. She's come to admire the wildclaw for her ability of incredible foresight despite her energetic personality. Though Estellise has only been assigned to one charge, she looks out for the both of them with equal intensity.

The newest addition to the team is Lorathyra, and Estellise doesn't appreciate being teased for looking at Zeria. How is she supposed to protect a dragon she can't watch?

-In Recent Events-
When the clan moved to Dragonhome, many a dragon stayed behind on the Zephyr steppes for various reasons. Loyalty to the region, doubt in their strength to finish the journey, or and opportunity to leave and start a new chapter with a different clan altogether.

Raspberry, Estellise's mentor and something of a surrogate mother, was among them. Her usual stoic manner lasted the entire week of celebration and honoring provided for those who would not remain with Shenani Clan, but broke on the evening of the last day. Out of respect, no Shenani Clan dragon repeats a description of the sobbing pearlcatcher curled up under the gills of the large, equally stoic red guardian.

Since the parting of Raspberry, Estellise has been inseparable from her "charges" and no longer occupies the dank chamber below the clan that she used to. In fact, she is more often seen sharing a den with Zeria than anyone else.
