Named after the prideful Tok'ra from Stargate: SG-1.

Malek was born on a lightning farm deep in the Shifting Expanse. He was slated to be sent off to the Tempest Spire to serve under the Stormcatcher for the rest of his days, but Icheb stepped in and offered him another path for his life. To come and join his clan, and become part of his extended family. Malek gratefully accepted, taking his new name along with his new life.
A proud dragon by nature, Malek found it difficult to settle down into the cold landscape of the Southern Icefield and take a new mate, as he was encouraged to do by his clanmates, as he missed his mate from his old home who had gone off to serve their old deity. But when he met Vala, all of that changed. He found her to be the most beautiful, vibrant dragon he had ever met, and now he looks forward to spending everyday of the rest of his life with her.
