ABOUT.
The death of a clan is never pretty. There are so many ways to go, from a Beastclan attack to a betrayal from within. And then, of course, you have your freak accidents. Phobos' family and clan was killed by such an accident when a technical malfunction occurred, electrocuting most of the clan except for Phobos, as he was out hunting at the time.

A massive coincidence you could call it, but it was what it was.

When he returned a day later, he couldn't believe the sight that greeted his eyes. Everything he had ever known or loved--gone. Within seconds. It wasn't a pretty sight. He didn't try going inside the lair to look for survivors; he knew if there had been any, they would have cleared away the bodies and sent a scout after him. There wasn't anything left.

A cap lay upside down on the dirt by the entrance of the lair. It was untouched, as far as he could see. He picked the thing up and brushed it off, pausing only to glance back at the entrance of the lair. Then, he slipped the cap on, pulling the brim just low enough to barely cover his eyes.

Phobos would have the time to mourn later. He left, turning sharply away from the scene that stood before his eyes. No tears were shed, but Phobos sacrificed some of his kills over the next three days.

He kept the hat.

And as he walked, he thought. He didn't know what his next course of action would be; he had no home, and no way of surviving out here by himself. The first thought that popped into his head was to roam Sorineth, just travelling for the sake of it. Phobos started to head towards the general direction of the Sunbeam Ruins, when he found himself inadvertently walking towards the Sea of a Thousand Currents. No, not the Sea. The Wasteland. As to why he'd felt the tug of the Wyrmwound, Phobos did not know. So he avoided the pull for as long as he could, visiting every inch of Sorineth, barely pausing to take in the sights.

Every inch, that is, that was not in the Wyrmwound.

He ran out of options. So he headed to the Scarred Wasteland, full of expectations and little hope. The moment he stepped foot onto Plague territory, he felt strangely...at home. Checking his reflection in a slightly muddy puddle of water, he discovered that his eyes still shone blue. He was still very much a Lightning dragon.

But why had he felt so at home in Plague territory?

Phobos decided to stay for a while. He found a home in the Abiding Boneyard, along with a watering hole and a good hunting spot. And then, he found the clan.

It was a fairly small and modest one, with the leaders--as far as he could see--being a rather stern-looking mirror and a gargantuan guardian. Before he could help himself, he stepped forward and, well, asked to join. At first, the mirror was skeptical. Nyx was her name, and she didn't look like the sort to trust him. Heracles, the guardian, looked him over and grinned. Then he murmured something to Nyx, who straightened up and glanced at him again.

Phobos was allowed to stay, but only on the condition that he speak with Tisiphone, an senior assassin and an Aftermath, though what an 'Aftermath' was, he had no idea.

After a chat with Tisiphone, he found out a few things:

1. He was a Radioactive Aftermath. Which explained the goop that stuck to his body even after he hatched from the shell.
2. Aftermaths were a Plague subspecies that originated in the Abiding Boneyard.
3. Aftermaths are, inherently, cowards.
4. The last thing Phobos wanted to be was a coward.

It was obvious that Phobos did not want to embrace his Aftermath nature. So he coped. He took up a job at the Clan of Rattling Bone's postal service, working under Proioxis, the head courier. He was already quite fast, and his stamina wasn't half-bad. This job would suit him just fine. A spiral, Aeolus, was the friendliest of the lot, and the two grew to like each other immensely.

When Phobos isn't delivering parcels or talking to Aeolus, he can be found in the tattoo parlour with Toshizo and Ayumu, the sibling tattooists and Bloodworms (another Plague subspecies). He's still trying to figure out which part of his thinking is his, and which is programmed into his nature. Phobos tends to be fairly detached from clan affairs, and doesn't like participating in its politics, though sometimes...he may still butt in.

He's just trying to find his peace, is all.
