Aragorn was the first to join this clan after it was established by Arwen, our leader, and her mate, Paladin. He rapidly proved himself on the battlefield fighting the beastclan, and in the wild hunting and gathering. This lead to him quickly becoming Captain of the Guard, which consists of all trained warriors in the clan. Also tasked with training the Elite Forces, he leads the intensive training required of potential warriors and magic users. His co-captain is none other than Parseltongue, the Guardian, who is dedicated to guarding the Clan of the Great Family. He, Arwen, Paladin, Parseltongue, and Royal, the second leiutenant over Mire Training which took a huge burden of work off of Aragorn and Parseltongue) are a very tight group of friends who are ALWAYS there for one another.

Aragorn had his heart broken when his mate, Amethyst, felt a calling to serve the Gladekeeper and left Aragorn with motherless hatchlings. However, he had a loving extended family in the clan and more than enough surrogate mothers, ranging from the smallest fae to massive guardians and snappers. MANY of which would have loved to become a permanent member of his family. For a long time he guarded his heart and never expected another great love, but when a mysterious Imperial came into camp with a timid big eyed hatchling clinging to her mane he was instantly intrigued. And thus began the most earnest wooing any one has ever witnessed before. Melancholy was more distrustful of males than even Aragorn had become distrusting of females since Amethyst's desertion So as Melancholy guarded her heart closely, Aragorn worked his charm hard and chied away at the ice around her heart until everyone could see, even her- that Melancholy is perfectly suited to Aragorn. Far more so than Amethyst ever was, and love rooted in respect and trust is the strongest.

Aragorn loves strategy and reading old tomes of battles long fought. He also enjoys battle reenactments with dragon miniatures forged by the clan metal workers. But if you catch him at his hobbies, pretend you did not see his bifocals. He is just a wee bit vain.

ADDENDUM BY ARAGORN: "Who writes this drivel? Was this Malachite or, no wait, this REEKS of something Astraeus' quill was all over. Argh. Let me re-tell it more ACCURATELY, if you please, without all the overbloated and aching sentimentality. I swear in Astraeus' version there were times to cue the orchestra. Anyway, I was not HEARTBROKEN when Amethyst went to serve the Glademother and left me. I was more than a little IRRITATED. I men, HELLO?! Have you ever seen an imperial toddler? Not little bitty homewreckers. They are giant machines of distruction. And I had FOUR and NO HELP. So, so, any heartbreak I would have felt was tempered by fury a the gall of her timing. I mean, could she not POSSIBLY have waited until they were a wee bit older?"

Aragorn is my favorite dragon of all. He was a gift the first week I joined Flight Rising from the Very Best Friend I have EVER had, Valyrie. I love you, Kid. Family is Forever, and the best family is the one you choose.
