Cantio began his life in this clan not trusted. Tempus holds a strong grudge against the shadow flight dragons, and hence was wary to let him into the clan. He was too cunning, too unpredictable. She thought he was certain to be danger. But he proved her wrong, by whipping up a shield protecting their lair from hatchling eaters. Ever since then, Tempus has put him in charge of defense. He makes sure that nothing will ever harm his clan.

In addition to his defensive magic, he also knows illusions. He can even make it seem like there are two of him. This talent comes naturally to him, and has since aided him in numerous mischievous activities. But despite his trickster tendencies, his illusions often come in handy. Especially during battle, to which he can hide his allies in plain sight and make himself almost teleport. His name means "spell" in Latin.

The instant he arrived to the clan he immediately fell in love with Fantome. Her beauty astounded him, and he made it his mission to romance her. So far, he has been moderately successful. Fantome wonders why such an eccentric coatl would go after her, but nonetheless she is flattered. Perhaps she will return his feelings sometime soon.
