THE BATTLEMAIDEN
Kiai is known among the islanders for being as ferocious as she is beautiful. There are some who feel sorry for her comparatively peaceful mate, Kai, whose gentle claws are used to pluck seashells from the cool surf and have never known the warmth of fresh, gushing blood. They know her as the terror of the jungle, the one of bloodied mane, and if there is a gentler side to her, they have never seen it.
She holds a powerful position on the War Council, and is usually gunning for a fight with any enemy that dares to encroach on their shores. She is also the Shadow representative on the Council of Elements, an even higher-status position, and her reputation as one of its most decisive voters has earned her the respect of allies and opponents alike.
If wrath were not her greatest vice, it would almost certainly be vanity, and she is usually preening when not patrolling. She and Kai are not exclusive, and she attracts many suitors, but turns away almost all--violently, when the mood strikes her. She insists that she will only be wooed by those as beautiful as she is, but she will not specify what it is, exactly, that she finds beautiful.
She is at her most peaceful when strolling along the seashore with Kai by her side, watching the tide go out.
