Vel is the blacksmith of the clan, often creating weapons and tools for others to use. He is good friends with Cora, a poison and trinket maker, since they help each other in their crafts. Vel loves anything relating to energy and technology, and often wishes he had been born into Lightning instead. Unlike his sister, Bloody, he is actually quite cheerful and willing to help others.

Bandages cover his whole body due to his numerous accidents (one which caused him to break his left wing, and makes him unable to fly). His mate is Wind.
