KYSER is from one of the more tumultuous and troubled families of the County -- Beryl's, if you couldn't already guess -- but he's as calm and still as a lizard on a primo sunning rock. He lives a simple life on the periphery of the Flat, in a tent with a treestump for a table outside.

The ground outside and around his tent is worn soft and powdery by hundreds of milling hooves: the rambra Kyser oversees. Rothorns, he calls them, a strain of especially hardy rambra able to withstand the deadly indifference of the Wasteland. The herd's grown, as has the demand for the hide, horn, bone, milk, and meat it supplies, but Kyser still somehow manages to tend to any injured or sick animals personally.

Kyser's a quiet, reticent fellow. According to family gossip, he used to be a much sunnier character -- but that was before his mother committed herself to the Tidelord when he was just a pup. His father followed in her footsteps not long after. The whole affair was quite peaceful, but it's apparently left its mark on Kyser. He still keeps a Water shrine behind his tent, though you should consider yourself lucky if you ever manage to lay eyes on it.

Kyser's lady-love, Lilybell, lives in faraway Bantam's Drift. Every now and again, Kyser takes his vacation time and a luggage-laden rothorn up to the Plateau for a much-needed conjugal holiday. 		xxxxxxxxxx
