The Lost One

"There's something...something, I must remember. What have you done to me?!"
A wanderer without a memory, she was taken under the wings of another traveling dragon and his mate before being brought to Wrathflame's mountain. There, she was given the name "Alala," an old name meaning "lost one." It is believed that she had gone through severe trauma in the past, leading to her loss of memory and her unstable state of mind. Her bandana covers a terrible scar on top of her head, and the iron wing cuffs that she bears are unlike those that other dragons would put on themselves. Scuffed and scarred, the metal bands seem to have been attached to her wings as a way to restrain her, instead of for decoration. Her accent and jade bracelet must come from happier times, however, because she gently touches them at times, playing with the bracelet with gentle claws as she pulls into herself, searching for her memories. She has brief moments of clarity where she is able to speak full sentences, but her mind is in a terrible state, the injuries that took her memory leaving her temperament unstable and sometimes dangerous. At times she is peaceful and willing to follow gentle guidance, and at other times, she is taken by violent fits of aggression, lashing out at anyone and everything around her, and her natural strength and savagery as a Mirror, along with her lack of mental control, make her a formidable foe indeed. Some fear that she would kill her imagined opponent if not held in check, though thankfully no injuries have been sustained by anyone as of yet, and the only fatalities come upon the plants and breakable items within her reach during her rages. The others look after her, bringing her food and making sure that she eats, though they mainly leave her to her own devices, and she can often be seen wandering aimlessly or with a purpose that only she knows, or sitting on her haunches murmuring to herself, holding the Lightweaver doll she carries everywhere with her in her arms. Her companion is a Ringlet Amphithere named Tanis, and it is this tiny serpent that is the amnesiatic Mirror's main caretaker, curling up on her shoulders, or around her neck or wrist. Alala has never, and will never, show any aggression towards her tiny companion, and it is thanks to Tanis that her violent rages are calmed before any tragedy happens. The Amphithere comforts her larger companion, and flutters around her if she's not hitching a ride, making sure that the Mirror eats before taking anything for herself, and folds her wings around her friend as best she can when Alala's injured mind takes her down darker, depressing paths. No one knows if Alala will ever regain her memories, but even if she doesn't, she will always be cared for and have a home under the protection of the Clan, and hope came from an unexpected but wise source through the words of a certain book keeper... "Almost every dragon I've known has lost their mind at some point or another. Some have to work harder to find their sense again. And some need a bit of help.
