Biography
Lady Miuna of Clan Celes
Harvest Dawn - Oblivion
Artist: Fredao
Born and raised in another clan, Miuna was found lost and alone by Prince Yue. He took her back to his clan, and was asked if she would like to be given the honour of serving the Windsinger. Miuna accepted, and her training began.
Iris and Xena took her to the Kelp Beds, and there she fought by their side for days, training and fighting. At nights, she would rest in the Cloudsong, getting to know the inhabitants of the clan - especially Yue, who had taken a shining to the Skydancer.
When the day came for her Exalting Ceremony, Miuna came to a realization. She didn't want to go. She wanted to stay in the clan she had grown to love - to keep fighting by Iris and Xena's sides. Most of all, she didn't want to leave Yue, with whom she had fallen deeply in love. When she told him of this, he insisted that his clan would let her stay - she fit in well, and she would remain at his side as his mate.
So Miuna stayed, the mate of her beloved Yue. She worked hard, and soon became one of the clan's three head warriors, along with Iris and her new friend Cole. She had children, becoming especially close to her daughter Sayuri.
It was not to last. Yue admitted to her one night that he longed to fight as well, and begged her to train him. Miuna and Iris agreed to take him out on a training patrol to the Kelp Beds, where they'd trained dozens of young dragons before.
At first, things went well. Yue watched them fight, studied their moves, and soon began to help them fight.
Nobody expected what happened next. Wavesweepers were a fairly common sight, with the understanding being to flee the moment one appeared. Yue, however, had missed this information, and when a Wavesweeper came he hesitated - and that moment of hesitation was his downfall. Yue was crushed, leaving a screaming Miuna and Iris to flee without the Imperial, only realizing what had happened when they reached the surface.
Miuna recovered slowly, through the help of her daughter and her closest friends.
Then, she met him. An Imperial, as handsome as her Yue had been - and yet so different. While Yue had been quiet and introverted, Astraeus was confident, kind, and moved around the clan, speaking to each dragon with ease. He spent many hours with Miuna - just talking, spending time together, going on long trips together. It didn't take Miuna long at all to find herself falling in love with him.
A problem still remained: Yue. Miuna was still reluctant to let herself love after his death, and her own feelings disgusted her. She begged Yue to somehow speak to her, to tell her it was alright.
The moment she said it, the weight in her heart vanished. She felt lighter than she had in years, and rushed to Astraeus to tell him she loved him. To her joy, Astraeus told her he loved her as well, and the two became mates. When little Mayuyu appeared in the clan and it was discovered she would never grow up, Miuna took pity on the hatchling and adopted her, taking care of her along with Astraeus.
Miuna is happy and at peace - she loves fighting alongside Cole and Poppy, her companions. She adores her mate Astraeus, who has been at her side for longer than she could ever have hoped for. She loves her children, Sayuri and Mayuyu, who stay with her and love her unconditionally. She still thinks of Yue each night - but the memories are no longer painful, simply nostalgic.
