Aima was drawn from her birthplace of the Windswept Plateau by rumours of a dark dragon on the verge of losing his mind as a result of dark magics. Whether she arrived to help him or drive him closer to the Shade is up for debate, as many in the plan suspect that she has ulterior motives, while others think that she might be the only one able to pull Avond from the clutches of whatever darkness has a hold on him. Whatever the case is, since her arrival she is never seen far from his side.

An elegant and imperious dragon, one could be forgiven for forgetting that Aima's magic has a rather sinister bent to it. She is a master of blood, whether manipulating it or using it as fuel for some other magic. It is this knowledge that has lead her to be almost as feared as Avond, and she is often spoken of in bedtime stories for hatchlings to scare them into doing as they're told. Her cold demeanour doesn't help these rumours at all, not that she really cares what the others think of her.

Despite all of her mannerisms, there is a certain fierceness to her. She is not afraid to use her claws to tear flesh and spill blood, mostly for her own gain. She is kept away from the battlefield by Pristro, who fears that if she is taken on any kind of training venture with younger, less powerful dragons, for fear that she will wound or kill them.

Unfortunately, there is one dragon that Pristro was unable to keep out of her bloodstained clutches, that being Oblivion, her son. In that dark-hued Pearlcatcher, Pristro's fears of what she would do were more than confirmed. Even off the battlefield, she practices her magic on him, opening deep cuts so that the blood that fuels her magic can flow freely. Whether this is her taking vengeance for her eldest son, Asta leaving the clan or just her sick and twisted means of showing love or maybe even that she sees her son as nothing more than a battery is a complete mystery.
