Personality

After growing up Isseyah has lost most of her naivety and trust in unknown dragons. She still loves nature, but knows that it is much more than green and bloom and beauty. She knows that death and wilt are also needed to balance life. She is still curious, however, and constantly in search for knowledge about life and its mysteries – and she still trusts sometimes too readily.

 Role description

Isseyah is the heir apparent of the clan, which means that one day she will most likely succeed Faladhin as the clan's leader. Her position in the clan is, however, a nominal tittle.

History

One day, when Eileanoir was scavenging for some valuable items in the Everbloom Gardens, they stumbled upon an unhatched egg. It laid there, on the gound, seemingly abandoned. The dragons looked for a possible nest where the egg might have come from, but could find none. They couldn't just leave the egg there, so they took it with them to the clan's leader.

Faladhin was mystified by the egg, and after a negotiation with other members of the clan he decided to keep it. It was close to hatching but still needed some care. So, as the leader of the clan, Faladhin decided to nurse it.

When the time for hatching came, the whole clan was highly curious and excited - it was the first egg to hatch in their new home. And when a newborn Guardian baby finally broke away from the shell, the clan couldn't have rejoiced more!

Faladhin, however, was mesmerized. The newborn looked very much alike to a very dear friend rival of his, Varjoemo. He couldn't tear his eyes from the hatchling. It was like fate had decided it: since he couldn't himself have children with Varjoemo (who he secretly very much admired), this newborn hatchling would serve as their Fate-born child - and his heir.

Isseyah also received a bodyguard who took her as his Charge. The two became very close and are rarely seen away from each other.

Isseyah lived happily and quite contently in the clan, receiving and enjoying every privilege she was given as Faladhin's adoptive daughter. Her father tried to keep her feet on the ground, however, and Isseyah never became quite as spoiled as she could have. She had to share spolight with Faladhin's biological children and grandchildren, but her status as the heir apparent stayed strong.

Then Alfheimr joined the clan. He was quite a mystical sight, an older dragon with lots of traveling experience - and experience with female dragons as well. Isseyah caught his interest and he started courting her - something what Faladhin deeply disapproved. He forbade the two from being together, and Isseyah and Alfheimr had to journey to Clan Levinflare in order to lay their nests, away from Faladhin's disapproving eye.

However, Alfheimr's need for travel surpassed his interest towards Isseyah. He left. Without saying goodbye.

Isseyah was shocked to the core by this and shut herself away. She didn't let anyone get too close to her and she drowned herself with work towards the betterment of her clan. She even drowe away her loyal bodyguard who - after losing his Charge - retired to the service of the Gladekeeper. Alfheimr was never seen again.
