______ In the Last Retreat Aviary's post is somewhat similar to Spymaster. This wise imperial can speak the language of birds and can command them to simple tasks. While the birds themselves are hard to keep and the wind flight values freedom tropical feathers are always in demand and a few clever birds have learnt they can trade shed feathers for delicious bird seed. Because the birds see nearly everything and Aviary can communicate with them her nest is a clamoring flock of squawking feathered informants bringing her new information in exchange for their favorite foods. It is rare to see her without at least one enthusiastic hanger-on perched on her shoulders or branching horns. Aviary, a dragon who delights in bright colors, is like a shimmering rainbow of bright colors that make her attractive to tropical birds. Her eyesight is sharp enough to pick out individual birds in the canopy when flying. Her nest, in the peak of an evergreen jungle tree is particularly inviting to birds of the Rainsong Jungle and most, for a meal of seeds and other delicious treats she matches to the individual, will make reports on the sighted movements of beastclans all over the globe. Recently she has been taking care of a defector, a rare male Harpy she calls Prehnite who has escaped the rigid structure of Harpy society for asylum among the dragons.

______ The Harpy Prince has taken up residence in her nest to escape and helps her look after the birds and record information. He believes that the Beastclans attempts to face the dragons are doomed and that the only hope for survival is to join with dragonkind. He enjoys being able to live free with Aviary instead of following the strict rules applied to male harpies. Having learned Draconic and tutoring Aviary in the language of harpies the two often communicate with a mishmash of both languages. His favorite perch is on her branching horns where he can relax and advise her. Having being treated as important his whole life Prenhite is rather arrogant and delights in his ability to call 'his dragon' to him with a single whistle to intimidate the familiars of other with the bulk of the Imperial.
