With his rough exterior, many would think that Totolin would be a very intimating character but he is the opposite of it. He is a funny and cracks a few jokes every now and then as he goes about in the clan. His shadow background gave him the ability to have a bit of fun every now and then, but he never really liked how much trickery there was though. He moved from a few clans here and there, entertaining and doing his services to the ones in need until he settled down for a while at his last clan. Things arose and the clan disbanded. He went again on a journey for another clan to join. Chal had heard from a wondering coatl from the tress and went off to search for him. She asked him if he would like to stay at the clan for a little while and he gladly accepted.

As he stayed in the clan, he noticed the Underworld gods and their work. Very amused by their services, Totolin followed them where they went and observed. Though the services of seeing if the ill would survive or not intrigued him, their medical practices were very faulty. Totolin had some medical training from his last clan and from things he picked up while traveling. In a few outings with Mictla, if the patient would be able to continue to live, Totolin would diagnose and treat them as Mictlacihuatl would be his nurse. Successfully, the patient became healthy again and thanks Totolin greatly. Quetzal and the others asked him to stay and perhaps be their doctor, as many dragons come and stay and need medical attention. Totolin accepted their offer and now works along side the Mictlas.

Totolin's name translates to Jade Turkey. This was given to him by Quetzal as he noticed how great he was at identifying the sick. It went very well when he noticed that Totolin was very fond of green feathers. He said that green feathers stood out on his black feathers that many shooed away from. From here, Totolin would work along with Quetzal when he wasn't with the Mictlas', reading medical books or researching herbs that would be great to make as medicine. He communicates a lot with the other dragons to help him out and everyone gladly does. The rest of the clan say that his personality makes them want to help him; some say that Totolin tries his best to be good to everyone so they wouldn't be afraid of him.

There is a one thing that Totolin is very shy about when it comes to medical practices. He is very knowledgeable in diseases, even before his studies with Quetzal. When asked how he knew so much about diseases, he simply smiles and says that he's seen many patients. Even though he has seen a bit of patients, it is not his work where he had so much training in. Totolin has such unfortunate luck. He's been sick of almost all the diseases he knows how to treat. From simple attacks to life threatening illnesses, Totolin has had them all. This bad luck might have came from him wonderful familiar that he's had since his travels. At first he thought it was a coincidence, but it seemed too well matched. His life wasn't in extreme dire danger and he was somewhat stable enough to try to find a cure for his sickness, which made him very knowledgeable in the subject. Even if his familiar did cause him this grief, he wouldn't let him go.
