"Lugus"
Ambitious, brilliant; not unlike a small white-gold cat

Middle-child Lugus, second of his clutch to hatch, nicknamed for one of Thamin's old professors in the Hewn City. Being neither the first nor the last to hatch, Lugus feels the need to distinguish himself in whatever way he can -- typically by showing off his keen intellect whenever possible.

Like his mother, Lugus has a sturdy grasp of big-picture ideas and the mental wherewithal to figure out what he needs to complete a task. He's particularly good with spatial awareness and has an uncanny knack for running mathematical calculations in his head (which is something he does and often, if only to impress the other hatchlings in the creche). He enjoys attention, particularly if he's generated it himself by being intellectually quick on the draw. He is, however, quick to jealousy when the spotlight is drawn away from him -- and he's not yet crafty enough to disguise the effect that the sting of jealousy has on him.

Lugus is fond of watching his mother sketch blueprints by candlelight in the hours before bed. The scratch of charcoal and the shuffle of papers has a soothing effect on him, and it's not uncommon for him to doze off into a gentle faceplant on Thamin's drawings.
