Meatlug is a true Plague dragon at heart. But not in the way most would suspect. Whereas other Plague dragons delight at the sight of infected and sickly dragons, Meatlug does not. She is a firm believer in the Plaguebringer's doctrine of the survival of the fittest, but Meatlug interprets it differently. The gentle Snapper attempts to help the sick and injured through their ailments, believing them to become stronger individuals after they've healed. Sick dragons cannot become stronger if they die. And more strong souls benefit all of dragonkind. So this battle hardened, grizzled and elderly Snapper who most would assume to be vicious and marauding, is quite actually a loving creature.

Meatlug left the Wandering Contagion by choice decades ago, tired and fed up with the blood lust of her fellow Plague dragons. She wandered throughout the world in a journey to find a home where she truly fit in. Being a slow Snapper, this naturally took a while. Eventually, the now elderly Meatlug wandered into the territory of the newly formed Clan Khuna in the Tsnumai Flats. Draoi, the patriarch and druid of the young clan, at first was highly suspicious of the Plague Snapper. Cúchulainn, very young at the time, had just been rescued from his decimated birth clan, and was sick with pneumonia. Draoi wanted nothing to do with a disease spreading Plague dragon. But Meatlug somehow miraculously convinced Draoi to allow her stay, at least for one day. And in that span, the red Snapper managed to secure her place within the clan by using her knowledge in disease and skill in medicine to help Cúchulainn power through the infection and begin the healing process. Impressed with her show of compassion and medical ability, Draoi warmly welcomed Meatlug to the family.

Nowadays, Meatlug spends her time managing the Hospital Wing of Clan Khuna as the resident nurse. Clan members affectionately refer to her as "Auntie", due to her protective and nurturing personality. She rarely leaves the hospital, as she is always either caring for her patients or mixing up some new medicinal potions (slowly).

Plithiver is her loving wife!
