Biography

MOSS Distant | Vengeful | Bloodthirsty I was small. I remember not much, except for her smile and the way I felt safe. I remember other hatchlings and grinning faces. I had no name yet for I had merely opened my eyes to see the vast world. I remember the thatchet huts where we kept food, next to the ocean where our parents would teach us to swim. I remember the stories my mother would tell me. I remember her eyes looking like love and her words like heaven. I remember the night all to well. The first signal was the lit fires marching towards our lair, I kept thinking to myself they were just fire flies too far off for me, until the marched turned into drumming steps and the fireflies were now suns. She looked at me. Love had left her eyes and was filled with haste and her words choked by tears as she grabbed the conch shell to call - for anyone. I did not understand. I was small. She lifted me into the leather woven bag we made together, when we sat in the shallow waters with the waterlillies and seashells. I did not understand. I was small. I remember screams, I remember the suns had turned into fire and the heat of the burning huts ached into my scales. I remember being lifted quickly, hoisted onto another shoulder and held close to another heart. This was not my mothers. I heard her yelling she loved me - until it was cut off. Hours passed it seemed until we stopped moving. I heard more comotion, rushed but peaceful. The lady that took the bag off my mother was a young Wildclaw, I had never seen such terror on ones face. She picked me up and held me, tears falling on her cheek that it was okay, that I was safe, she was my mothers friend and she would protect me now. I now understand. I am big. The beastclans raided my lair, our food hutches and stole our lives. They killed my mother in coldblood under the moon I was raised. We had done nothing to deserve this. We lived nothing but peaceful. I will now take my mothers fate into my own hands and destroy the very beasts that did this. I will wear their skulls with honour, with their blood soaking into my armour. They took the lady that loved me. I now understand. I am big.
