An extremely protective dragon, he arrived with Medusa and the others. Having made a point of protecting them on their travels to reach this clan, he saw no reason to simply leave them and continue wandering, choosing to settle down and stay with them, intent on continuing to protect them, even from their new allies. Slowly coming around to the idea of cooperating rather than tolerating the other clan members. Not a fan of the Troublemaker Twins, he does his best to always keep an eye on them, lest they corrupt one of Medusa's wards. In the interim, he joined Kuiper's band of Space Dragons. He serves as Kuiper's closest body guard, though still keeping an eye on Medusa and the younger dragons, he is fiercely loyal to his leader. As an extension of his bodyguard duties, he formed a new battle team specifically under Kuiper's orders, having felt that it was questionable practice to allow Aramis to command all of the clan's forces. Mars was the first to be recruited, as Charon saw her inclusion as an opporunity to give some direction to her violent tendencies. After he and Kuiper saw a capacity for self-defence from Diablos, they agreed that she would also be a good inclusion, and she has since received some general combat training to support her inherent skills, making her another invaluable member of the team. With this combat team, Charon has often had to go out on various assignments issued by Kuiper. Given his protective nature, it's made it difficult sometimes for him to be away from Kuiper, as he's taken it upon himself to protect his leader, but over time he has learnt to focus on the tasks at hand, since he has to be responsible for the entire team and not just for his own well-being when away. As a result, he's calmed down some and become better able to concentrate on his missions, allowing the Space Dragons that remain home to defend Kuiper, a task that they are still quite handily able to fulfill. As with any military operation, the away missions are often rather dangerous, and unexpected encounters happen fairly regularly. While the team is usually able to surmount these with minimal difficulty, earlier on this was not the case, as they were still learning to coordinate and becoming stronger. After one particularly rough fight, Charon was brutally injured, leading to the untimely end of the mission as he was carried home by Mars and Diablos. Crest and Colgate took full care of him, keeping him at their clinic while he recovered. During this time, Charon and Crest bonded and became closer and closer, leading up to a now on-going relationship after his release. When he's not guarding Kuiper, away on missions or helping Medusa with the hatchlings, Charon now spends all of his free time with Crest.
