When Anubis first arrived at the Harkila Clan, it was to fearful glances and suspicious mutterings; he barely spoke to anybody, made his nest far from all the others, and refused to join in the festival celebrations with the rest of the dragons. A rumour began to spread that he had nearly become part of an Emperor, and the experience had broken his mind.

Everything changed when the Beastclans attacked.

Even proud Lehine will admit that without Anubis fighting by their side, their lair would have probably been destroyed and several of their clan members killed in the process. His natural fighting skill and tactical mind cause Lehine to immediately offer to personally tutor him for battle, but he declined, and instead took his place as Gwenfore’s lieutenant in the Raiders. He remains detached from the clan apart from his relationship with Nephthys, whom he has come to love intensely - unfortunately, despite many attempts, they have yet to lay a clutch of eggs.
