Personality and Backstory:
Devotion was born into a clan that was completely and totally devoted to the Shadowbinder. Their devotion to the Shadowbinder was so great that the dragons of the clan had a special ritual: once a month when the moon was full, a young dragon would be sacrificed to the Shadowbinder. Devotion's father was a dragon with red eyes, eyes that marked him as not being born in the realm of the Shadowbinder, so he volunteered his young son for the next sacrifice, feeling that he needed to prove himself. Devotion fled his clan, not wanting his life to end so soon. He knew he could never return, for his parents would shun him for bringing dishonor to the family, and he would only be thrown out once more. He needed a new clan. As he darted through the Tangled Wood, he grew tired and lay down to sleep. He was found the next morning by a scavenging party of the Evanescent clan and given a home with them. His shy and timid nature made him nervous around his new clanmates at first, but he soon grew to trust them.
