He was not originally of the Plague clan, but he most definitely belonged there. That much was certain.

When the young Wind dragon stepped foot onto the border of the Scarred Wasteland, it wasn't seen as much out of the ordinary. But as he made his way further and further into the depths of the Plaguebringer's territory, he became more and more unusual.

It wasn't long before the young dragon stumbled across a clan. From the looks of the territory, it seemed to be small but old. Several of the dragons who called the lair their home poked their heads out with interest.

Giving the lair a quick glance over, it became apparent that this was a clan without a leader. The dragons were grouped into pairs while the hatchlings were piled together, fighting against one another without any direction. The Guardian strode into the lair, ignoring the creeping signs of decay that were slowly beginning to consume his body.

It was on that day that the young Wind dragon renounced his heritage, and decided to become a follower of the Plaguebringer.

It was not an easy road. The Plague flight was known for its brutality - it was a well known fact throughout Sornieth that the dragons that made up the flight's rank were the strongest of the strongest. After all, you had to be in order to survive in the Scarred Waseland.

Not long after settling into his new clan, the Wind dragon was called to test himself in the Plaguebringer's trials. They would be long and they would be tough, and he knew he would not emerge from them the same dragon that he was going in. And that was okay.

He had no idea that the challenges put before him were designed to twist and turn him into a weapon unlike any other. With each passing challenge, the dragon felt himself hardening, becoming more resilient to the diseases and rot that spread throughout his new homeland as well as a fiercer fighter.

It was with the final trial that the Guardian erased all of his past self. The Plaguebringer herself twisted and changed him into a nobler dragon. Surprisingly his new form was not that of a native Mirror, but instead that of a dragon breed more suited to arial combat.

With his trials completed and the blessing of the Plaguebringer to live in her lands, the dragon made his way back to the clan that he now called home. The other dragons could sense something very different about him, though in their hearts they knew it was the same Wind dragon who came to them before.

It was his clan that bestowed the name Atallo upon him. At first confused by the intention behind the name, it didn't take long for him to understand the honor that his adopted clan had given him. It also didn't take long for him to understand the responsibility they had given them as well.

With his strength and ferocity, the clan had decided that he was to be their new patriarch and bring them back to their former glory.

And Atallo would not let his clan down.
