  this very traditional imperial has dedicated his life to the very particular career of cutting and refining gems. katashi is very skilled in his craft, as dull as he may find it at times, and is renowned by many other jewelers for having undeniable talent.

katashi desperately wishes to extend his interests beyond the gemstones he cuts daily, but refrains from doing so due to pressure from the picky imperial society. however, that doesn't stop him from pursuing his other hobbies in secret, and has been spotted practicing aerial dance maneuvers during the dead of night on more than one occasion.

he seems to be one of the few dragons to consider the night owl hisato a friend, thanks to his sneaking about through dusk in search of a secluded area suited for his secret interests.
