WEAVER The Reclusive Researcher Surgeon of Clan Morningstar Voice Claim - Madotsuki@ Nervous | Devoted | Pained | Dexterous Mate of Mireseeker I'm a simple souvenir of someone's kill I'm constantly changing from calm to ill Weaver acts painfully shy. No one knows how he behaved before arriving at Clan Morningstar, but no dragon is bold (or stupid) enough to try to force information out of Weaver. Despite his quiet demeanor, there's still an off putting edge to Weaver. This is suitable for someone who wears bones as decorations, but maybe he's just trying to prevent others from distracting him from his research. Only those wounded in battle or in need of surgery tend to approach Weaver, as he is the clan's surgeon. Weaver has a very raspy laugh, although his voice is calming. |
I'll protect you from all the things I've seen
And I'll clean your wounds, rinse them with saline There was a time when Weaver did not fear the scarlike grounds of the Wandering Contagion. After his Plague clan fell to the hands of a new, untested disease, this self proclaimed "coward" ran as far as his legs could carry him before exhaustion dragged him down. Collapsing at the edge of the Sundial Terrace, he was taken in by Clan Morningstar. Waking up and gasping of wounds that bled bright pink and of pained cries that shattered the glass night, he remained quarantined until Mireseeker, the clan's disease expert, assured the ever-cautious Gourmand that the Pearlcatcher bore no spreadable contagion. However, pink dyed his hands and snaked up his limbs, wrapping around his chest and altering him forever. Weaver may have healed, but the disease marked his trembling body permanently. Still, he remained desperate not to face the sun, laying in an infirmary nest and clutching tight to his rosy pearl. In an attempt to get the Pearlcatcher to feel better, Mireseeker slept next to the fragile dragon. It would be a week before he could even get Weaver to disclose his name. Weaver eventually grew used to the company of the Fae, opening up to him but never quite touching on the cause of his flight from Plague Territory. Soon, purpose ran through Weaver's body like the disease once did. Shaky legs brought him into the sunlight outside the mossy infirmary, and Weaver lifted his scarred muzzle to the sky once again. While he decided to hide the worst damage to his face behind a hood, Weaver could once again meet the gaze of other dragons. While he still possessed a quiet personality, Weaver offered his medical knowledge to Matriarch Regalia and took up residence in the infirmary as the clan's surgeon. After a surprise love confession from Weaver, Mireseeker and Weaver settled into the same nest not as patient and doctor, but as mates. They're raising the twin Lamia Nocturnes together, although Weaver is constantly at a loss as to how to keep them out of trouble. The four of them form an odd but happy family. |
