WHEN THE SUN FELL IN LOVE WITH THE MOON...

Once upon a time, the sun fell in love with the darkness behind the moon. Ever he walked in her shadow, casting his light upon her always, and in return she absorbed his heat, his warmth, his life. He never asked for anything in return. She never gave it. One day, the sun knew, she would consume him completely but that was better than being forgotten, unwanted.

Dawn turns to Dusk turns to Midnight.

His light grew dimmer and dimmer as he followed her, until a time came that not even he could navigate in the wake of her shadow. Everything withered and disappeared here, even the sun was no match. Eventually he stumbled and fell, lost and alone, and in his last moments he was certain he saw a darkness greater and more consuming than even her own, rise up to swallow her.

This great shadow swallowed everything and now he was nothing. Nothing at all.
