Colette can be a bit over the top to earn a victory- mainly for her ballet performances. Even if she loses she'll try to find a way that could get her disqualified. She believes her ways are superior due to her victories and is blinded by them by creating an ego. She is terrified of anything of the paranormal, even tough she does not even state so. She tries to play the act that they don't exist, but the fear lives on.
