Selkie was once a beautiful Maren Wavesinger, who spent her time braiding shells and flowers into her hair and sitting near the shore on an outcropping of rocks. She would sing beautiful songs, and one day, she attracted the attention of a young male dragon, who came back a few weeks in a row trying to woo her. She fell deeply in love with him, and left her home behind to be with him. She longed to have hatchlings with him, and so she made a deal with an Arcane sorcerer.

Of course, the details of the deal didn't say what all would happen afterward..Or how angry the Marens would be that one of their own kind abandoned them for the enemy. The dragon abandoned her to their anger, and when she emerged she was broken, her heart in tatters. It was during this painful experience that she was found and brought into Alstroemeria Gardens, under the treatment of Mystic, the clan healer. She was quiet and heartbroken, a lonely soul, far away from the waters she once knew...
