Arri stares daggers at you. "So you want me to tell you a story...? You should really ask Rosendale to do that, she's better than all of us." He sighs, "Well, there is one tale she doesn't know, and since you're so eager to be entertained..."

The fae pulls up a (very small) chair, looks you dead in the eye, and begins.

"The other day, I was training in the Boreal Woods. I found a winter wolf sitting across the creek, not twenty yards away from me, just staring at me. So I readied a magic bolt, and fired. Easiest shot I've ever taken in my life. And I missed."

"So I fired again. And I missed. And then I missed again. And then I fired again. And then I missed. And then I fired. And then I fired. And I missed. I missed both times. And then I fired. And then I missed. This went on for several hours. And then I fired. And then I missed. And then I was out of breath. And then I got sad. I had a Popsicle. And then I passed out in the snow. And then I woke up. And then I meditated. And then I fired. And then I missed. I fired. I hit something, but it wasn't what I was going for, so I guess I missed. I passed out again. Had another Popsicle. While I was out, I had a dream that I was firing at something. I missed..."

Buy this point in the story, you had already slipped out of Arri's lair. It seemed like he was too invested in his own story to notice.
