"Come, beautiful," Thadogen smiled at his young hatchling and led her to the edge of their lair. "Look at all that beautiful darkness." He whispered.
"Isn't it lovely?" His mate, and Irri's mother, Aela, asked.
Irri nodded, smiling. "It's so pretty...." she breathed in amazement. "But...Mommy?"
"Yes, sweetie?"
"What's all that light over there?"
Her father's eyes narrowed, "That is the realm of the Lightweaver. You must never go there."
Irri looked from her father to her mother, "Why not?"
"It isn't safe. Too much light shows too many secrets." Her mother warned again. "But if you ever want to leave The Tangled Wood, The Ashfall Waste would be a nice place to visit, if not live." Aela smiled.
"Or The Starfall Isles...that's where I'm from, dear." Her father nudged her softly.
She giggled. "I wanna be in fire...just like Mommy. Because I look like daddy!"
The three laughed together, thinking nothing of it.
Then Thadogen was taken to fight with the Shadowbinder, and Irri began acquiring some strange feelings. She often felt like she was freezing from the inside, as if she were covered in frost, thus she was christened "The Ice Maiden".
With everything going on, she and her mother decided that it would be best for her to move to a fire lair, and together they took her to Clan HeartThief, run by DarkFire and her mate Dusk. It was the best clan they had visited, and Irri decided to stay, and to her relief, the frost that had began to spread across her skin didn't stay.
Until she got the bright idea to go visit a dragon in a friendly Plague clan and have a nest with him. His name was RyuRaiden and she fell in love with him.
Sadly, the frost spread across her skin and RyuRaiden didn't love it as much as he loved her, so sent her and their youngest son, who had not only inherited her frost, but had taken it a step further, and his scales, like his sisters, and crystalized into ice.
Broken, Irri returned home, with a hatchling, and has stayed there ever since.
