HISTORY
Rythian was not born in the natural way. His body was created by a brilliant scientist of the Lightning Flight and given life by a gifted Shadow mage. The scientist saw him as imperfect, and wanted to send him to the scrap heap. In his eyes, Rythian was no better than any of his other creations. However, the mage saw him as a miracle. She cared deeply for him as though he were her own child, and in a way, he was. But, the scientist grew angry at the mage for this, and tried to destroy Rythian once and for all. The mage stopped him, but she was heavily injured in the process. She managed to free Rythian of the laboratory, giving up her own life in the process, or so he thought.

The poor android wandered the land for weeks, his body growing weary and worn. He made it out of the Shifting Expanse into the Sunbeam Ruins. A few clans offered to help him, but upon finding out what he was, chased him out of their homes. He barely made it to the edge of the Tangled Woods before his body gave out entirely and he shut down.

He awoke sometime later in a strange laboratory. Well, he thought it was a lab. It appeared to be a cave of sorts, with lights and wiring hanging from the ceiling. Tables lined the edge of the room and a large square one took up the center of the room. Papers were scattered randomly throughout the room, all with different designs and scribbles written on them. There was a shoved off in the corner of the room with only a pillow and some sheets on it. The blanket was on the other side of the room, tossed over a chair. No wait... that was a person. The blanket was over a person.

Rythian managed to croak out a greeting and the person shot up out of their seat. A lady coatl with strange markings on her and hair that stuck out in every direction scrambled over the table and came face to face with Rythian. "You're alive!" She grinned. "Didn't know if you were gonna make it there for a while, really gave me a good scare!" She talked about a mile a minute. Rythian could only blink at how fast she was talking, which she seemed to take note of. "Ah, I've been told I'm overwhelming, am I overwhelming you right now?" She questioned. Rythian nodded and the coatl blushed. "Sorry 'bout that! Let me start over. I'm Saeko, are you are?" She introduced herself with a slight bow. "My name is... Rythian." Rythian could barely speak. "Rythian, huh? Nice to meet-" Her voice was cut off as Rythian shut down once more.

"See the problem is you have no power module, so you shut down once you run of of energy." Saeko commented as she carefully attached all the wires in Rythian's forearm. "There!" She exclaimed, closing the small hatch. Rythian gently extended and flexed his arm. He felt better than he had ever felt in the months since his arrival. "Thank you Saeko, I really appreciate it." His voice was still very soft, almost as if he was afraid of something. "No problem! Let's go get some lunch, my new assistant!" Saeko cheered, skipping over to the door. Rythian glanced up from his arm. "Assistant?"

ROLE
After his arrival, Rythian was declared Saeko's official lab assistant and unofficial babysitter. He manages the upkeep of the Lab and makes sure to put out any fires caused by exploding experiments. He also makes sure Saeko eats and sleeps and doesn't hole herself up in the Lab all day.

PERSONALITY
Despite how he looks, Rythian is very shy. He prefers to stay close to a friend and hardly ever goes anywhere by himself. He's very nervous around newcomers and even around long-time members of the Grotto. His voice is very quiet, so it's hard for him to be heard at times.
