Biography
Maleficent hatched in the Starfall Isles, but never knew the love of family as the day she was born she was sent to the auction block. As she waited anxiously with the other dragons waiting to be paid for and sent off to a fate they didn’t know she could smell the stench of fear and worry. The stench is all that filled her nostrils for going on a week. They made sure those awaiting auction were fed, at least they were extended that courtesy, but beyond that they were left to wallow in their own misery of the unknown. It was then and there that Maleficent decided that she wasn’t going to be like the other dragons around her, she sought power within herself and focused on that.
When she got word that someone had paid her purchase price, Maleficent went with them and found herself in a lair in the Shrieking Wilds, a place far different than the world she was familiar with. She settled in warily, still unsure of her true fate. While she waited, she learned and then she met Zarandras. The ancient Imperial had everything she ever wanted power and technique that would make it so that she never had to worry again.
After a long process of trying to get into his good graces, Zarandras finally allowed her to study with him. She eagerly absorbed every bit of information she could find with the full intentions of gaining all of his skill and utilizing her magic to make herself indispensable to the clan even above Zarandras.
As time went on she learned more of his skills and unlocked more of her power, but there always seemed to be just a little more to the Imperial for her to discover, another reason why she wouldn’t mind him being around longer…
