HISTORY/LORE

As the founder of the Sageglow Clan, Gracie is loved and respected by many. Most dragons come to her when they need to talk due to her great people (or in this case dragon) skills, being an excellent peacemaker, fairness, and being non-judgmental and considerate of others’ feelings. Because of these traits, Gracie is the center of attention most of the time. Gracie is, however, an easy target to take advantage of.

Gracie is often given compliments and takes them as signs of friendliness. Her beauty often attracts males unintentionally, and due to her gullible-ness, she often mistakes their flirting for being polite. She becomes oblivious to their loving attractions until they admit them to her, which results in her becoming both flattered and pitiful—guilty for unintentionally making them believe that she felt the same way about them. She is already spoken for, after all. When she meets someone new, she never speaks to them of her mate, Gomrin, due to his history as an adventurer who traveled around Sornieth before he and Gracie settled down together at the Viridian Labyrinth, eventually making their way up to the Ancient Lair of the Behemoth. Unless he shows himself to the other dragons, Gracie remains quiet about Gomrin, which often results in other males thinking that she’s a single mom. Gracie is well known for having a beautiful singing voice. All of the songs she sings are love songs, which she would use as lullaby songs to get hatchlings to fall asleep. It was also a method she would use whenever her eldest offspring, Mokele, would have her meltdowns, which was an effective way to calm her down. Her habit of singing love songs around other dragons (males especially) often attracts unwanted romantic attention toward her.

Gracie considers herself to be a dreamer due to her love for fairytales, believing that all things in reality have their own bits of magic to them one way or another. She also believes that there’s a special someone for everyone, even for the loneliest of souls. She believes that only time knows when the love of somebody’s life will come around in their lives, but only when it’s at the right moment.

Although Gracie founded the Sageglow Clan, she passed down the title as the clan leader to Gomrin for his natural leadership skills. While Gomrin takes on that title, Gracie roams around in her home, making sure that there is peace among her clan mates.

Gracie met her Timber Tender at the Viridian Labyrinth a week or two after founding the Sageglow Clan. The Timber Tender took interest in Gracie and started following her around during Greenskeeper Gathering. The first few clan members at the time took notice of the Timber Tender’s behavior and suggested that Gracie should keep her. After thinking it over for a bit, Gracie agreed to the idea and claimed the Timber Tender as her own and named her Ursella. Gracie trained Ursella to be a good companion to anyone who might need a tender bear hug, or in the case of hatchlings, a nice back or side to cry on and doze off on afterwards. Ursella was also trained to stay close to hatchlings who may be injured so that Gracie can heal them.

Her partial position as a healer isn’t reserved for hatchlings, of course.

•Gracie's had this sudden desire to have a hatchling with Primal Nature eyes likely since after her son, Orwell, hatched and after meeting Adrastea and WindRider, both having Primal Eyes.
