Aesop found his way into this clan in his quest for someone who could teach him magic, and about honor, and the proper way to fight. He'd met Ankh as he came to help the spiral fight off a red-breasted Hainu flock that had ambushed him. Admittedly, Aesop wasn't really much help at the time. But, he and Ankh got to chatting, and Ankh told him that Mori could teach him everything he needed to know. He's working hard under her tutelage now, training to be the best fighter and magician he can be. His healing spells have saved the day more than once, but he's still got a ways to go. He and Mori are best buds, while she's snappy and has a harsh sense of humor, and he's a relatively demur sorcerer/knight with a heavy sense of armor, they never run out of things to chat about.

He's seen a traditional broadsword gleaming deep within the armory. One day, when his training is complete, he knows it'll be his. (He may have freaked out upon seeing it and begged Dunlap to give it to him as his weapon, but she'd made it clear it was for Mori to give to him when Mori decided to - he's p happy with just his spell book for now though)
