Monorchid was born into a nomadic pack of Mirrors, like himself, who were hardly the ideal family to be in. His siblings and other young dragons in his pack constantly battled him for superiority and food, and his mother was never a very present figure in his life. She much preferred to argue with rocks. This meant slamming her open mouth repeatedly into one even if it damaged her teeth terribly, leaving her with few teeth and relying on the pack members to feed her. The pack members all seemed to understand her plight with the rocks since they sometimes senselessly argued with inanimate objects too.

Mono didn't understand, though. Contrary to most of his pack members, he actually opted to use his brain logically at some points. While this made him an outright genius in the clan, his intelligence was still sub-par on average dragon standards. to further highlight his abnormal liking of intellectual pursuits, he had a tendency to bore his nest mates with poetry when he thought they weren't listening.

Still, even with his intelligence, he's quite a nasty character with a temper to match his mother's. This is what ended up making him leave his pack. After a fervent dispute with his nest mates on the validity of poetry in the modern era, a violent fight broke out which caused Monorchid to lose some bits and pieces as well as his home. The leader of the pack drove him out, leaving him abandoned in the Starfall Isles. He remained here for a while, brooding, until it struck him that he should start his own pack to spite the original one. After traveling the Arcane realm for days on end, he met a young Fae named Peever who was also traveling alone and together they began what they called The Enclave. Of course, they began this with the help of fellow travelers Hyperbulia and Saggital, offering their own knowledge and aide.

Now he is part of the Triarchy that runs the Enclave, consisting of him, Hyperbulia, and Saggital. He is the leader of all things militaristic, but still in his free time he delves into poetry books, hoping to find something to stir his soul. Most of the dragons in the clan come to him for protection, but some younger dragons have a tendency to come to him to tattle on their nest mates, knowing he's the most intimidating of the leaders. Usually his tantrums can only be sated by Hyperbulia breaking them up.
