Born of gems, she who sprouted from the diamonds themselves.
Her descent presaged when skies are low,
When moon wanes thin,
Where smoke billows.
Legend tells the tale,
That wherever she goes,
Her arrival brings dark omens,
And destruction follows.
I was not born, I was created, and from those first few moments, I am sure I was cursed. The dark sight has always followed me, although some would say I follow it. I bring news of misfortune to the doorsteps of innocent - or those less than. Sometimes, if fate has it, I am the one who delivers the misfortune itself. I used to claim the sight had no power, like it was simply 9-5. But when you've seen this much that's unholy, how can you be anything but?
They used to call me Vernadis. But now they call me Grim. Sprouted from the diamonds, they say. Now I know it was Bloodstone.
