 Bismuth was a wanderer in the Windswept plateau for many years, hunting for his charge. He could never shake the pull of the search, even though he never felt a hint of getting any closer to finding it.

To pass the time, he found himself collecting stones and minerals, dazzled by their various colors, composition, and uses. In fact, he has named himself after his favorite mineral--bismuth.
He took many trips to the Crystal Pools in search of new additions to his collection. On one of these excursions, he made allies with a warcat protector; her loyalty to him was unwavering, and she would often hunt for him when he was sick or otherwise disinclined.

One day, his warcat discovered a small fae clearing out space in the Zephyr Steppes to make her home. Without startling her, the warcat turned tail and returned to Bismuth. Her agitation and darting to and fro alerted him that she wanted him to follow. As he traveled closer to the fae, his urge became stronger and more overpowering than ever. Once his sights fell on her, he knew his search was over, and that he would spent the rest of his life to guard this gorgeous dragon.. and her hoard of pets and familiars.

Macchiata, for her part, loves him dearly, and will often return from various places with new gemstones and minerals to please him.
