“What do you want?”
The dragon in front of you gives you the impression of a grumpy old man despite his obvious youth. When you ask about the theft his mood seems to get even worse.
“I don’t know why the Lightweaver felt she had to invite all of those useless deities to her sanctum. We work hard to keep everything orderly and in its place just as it should be. I was tending to a few minor matters during the get together, so I came over to check in on the Mistress. And do you know, she was giving up her time and that ice dragon was wasting it talking about pole melting of all things. Though that wasn’t nearly as odd as the magic lord’s conversation with the water lord. They could have been speaking another language for all that it made sense to a normal dragon.”
You nod in agreement and the groundskeeper continues his rant.
“And they left the stench of magic everywhere. I had to air the entire place out for days to get rid of the smell since apparently it is beyond them to keep their powers controlled like reasonable beings.”
Again you nod and make a sympathetic noise as the groundskeeper sighs.
“And the lawn, don’t even get me started on the lawn. Totally destroyed. What wasn’t burned was flooded, and I don’t know how we’re going to get it set to right in time for the Brightshine finale. We’re all working over time trying to get the Lightweaver’s sanctum restored, so you better hurry up and take care of the other matter.”
