Song was like a soft lullaby spoken to an infant. He was gentle and nurturing, putting the needs of others before his own. He was the type to slip out in the middle of the night to take care of a friend, the type whose touch would make one feel like everything. He was the type to make nowhere feel like home. And he was beautiful in that way.

But he was alone. He was alone, and he didn't want to be. His heart was twisting in his chest, longing to find its match in another. And then a song seemed to echo across the Shifting Expanse as he caught sight of a small figure, similar to his own. They were different in many ways, but their songs seemed to intertwine, and, before they knew it, their hearts had wrapped around each other so tightly that nothing could separate them.

They lived together, making a glorious song between the two of them, allowing the notes to run through their lair and spill out through the nooks and crannies like water. They made their song, but they realized the most euphonic songs require an orchestra. So they brought hatchlings into their lives, and each one added their own unique melody to the song. Over time, dragons hailing from all across Sornieth joined them, making a beautiful symphony.
