Umbra is a devout follower of the Shadowbinder, and leads the clan to follow the Shadowbinder's wishes. However, as a very serious dragon, Umbra has never truly understood the sly, tricky nature of her element

History
Umbra felt darkness. "Welcome, child." the Shadowbinder's voice echoed with power, "I have brought you into this world for a purpose. You must create a clan to serve me, and I shall let you remain hidden within my shadows." Umbra would do anything for her mother, but she feared she would fail at such a large task alone. "You will need help.", The Shadowbinder announced, reading her mind. Out of the shadows appeared a bright red tundra. He stumbled and fell, "haha, whoops! Hello, there" He introduced himself as DarkFire. She soon learned that he was not the help she was hoping for. As they worked to build the lair, this became more and more apparent. He would leave glowshrooms in her water and laugh when he found her glowing like a lantern, with no concern of how visible this made her to enemies. He called her "stuck up". She called him foolish. It was a miracle that they didn't strangle each other on the first day.
