In the first days when the clan was still new, Byrourn was the head of the clan. It was a time of peace and of building the clan's numbers. However, as the clan grew, so did the need for action and organization. The growth of the clan gained unwanted attention, and the fear of the Shade threatened the peaceful clan. Seeing Byrourn struggle, Kalla took on various roles until her power over the clan overpowered his own. Her uprising was overall peaceful in this time of need and she did not take on the role of queen until she had Byrourn's complete approval and support. He accepted this knowing he could not protect his against these threats. Byrourn still holds the title as the leader of the clan, but everyone knows that the power lies in the queen's claws. He works more as a diplomat and maintains peace with other clans, while also making sure each dragon within the Petrichord clan finds their own peace and place here.
