Greywarden
The Barrier, The Door ________________________________________________________________

The Imperial welcomes you, asking you to sit and chat with him at the mouth of the cave. As you do so, he smiles. "Welcome, visitor. I hope your time here is worthwhile."

You are pushed gently inside the cave, where a few pairs of eyes glance up to you. Turning back to the Imperial, you see him nod towards the cave. "They are waiting to talk to you, and you spare a glance back at me? Odd one, you are."

As you inquire about him, he simply smiles and shakes his head. "I just guard the entrance, wanderer. Go, talk to the others. I'm not going anywhere. We can talk later, if you so desire."

Greywarden came to this clan as a hatchling, after being found by a scouting party. Both Venture and Beet took him in like he was one of their own, adopting him and raising him. As the hatchling grew, both parents noticed his issues with walking; his left back leg is limp, and unresponsive to the clan doctor's treatments. Beet took it upon himself to teach the dragon ways to get around instead, and kept him out of the harmful games played by hatchlings in the clan.

Bestowing the name Greywarden upon him, Beet gave him the most important job before he turned into an adult; to be the Gatekeeper of the cave, and to judge who is and is not worthy to enter the clan's cave.

He has since grown, and he stays at his post, night and day, watching for anyone who wishes harm to his Clan. He potentially has a new companion, though, in the form of a small hatchling named Merry.
