A proper lady, through and through. Genteel, well bred, a desirable catch. Everyone told her the world was hers as she grew up, prosperity and joy were hers for the taking. While the former has been true, the latter is a different story. Her partners have a tendency of... vanishing under mysterious circumstances. Various clans encouraged her to move along... or chased her out with torches and pitchforks. She's not saying.
"A series of tragic accidents and misunderstandings," she assured her present clan. They were kind enough to offer her refuge against the cold, uncaring world. Her wealth, inherited from many dowries from missing mates, has gone a long way to smoothing ruffled feathers and discomfort at her presence in the clan. And it's surely coincidence that when Constance begins seeking a new mate that all of the males in the lair are suddenly nesting or off hunting, nowhere to be found for months at a time....
(The only mate she will not take is Bluebeard. She understands him all too well.)
