When Stuttgart was a hatchling, his biggest dream was to stay with his family forever. And though he did try, and was the last to leave the nest, the call to Search was too powerful. He left long after his one sibling did and swam away. His Search did not take him far, for he did not Search far. Stuttgart has always been stubborn, and refused to leave the Tidelord's domain.

This stubborness was rewarded when he met Rosamunde, who at first fought his presence tooth and claw. But as soon as he saw her he knew his Search was over. He has found his charge as she had found hers and spent many a night pacing nearby, worried always over her safety. He was bigger, stronger, and slower than her in all things. So by the time her hate has turned into begrudging acceptance, he was still skirting her borders carefully, warding off all Beastclan who would dare come anywhere near.

And she began to go from acceptance to something deeper. They became mates under a new moon, with no light to show the anxious tails and wings as they vowed to each other a lifetime together. Soon after Rosamunde and he had a nest of their own. Three eggs that they watched over carefully to prevent any from drifting away. Though the Tidelord was their deity, the seas were harsh.

All three eggs hatched. Two males and a female came from the clutch. Unseen, their firstborn, Kirameki, their daughter, and Mistrunner, the youngest. As soon as Unseen came of age he left, his sister following, as they begane their search. Stuttgart spent much of that time lavishing time and affection on his youngest and his mate. Mistrunner had his father's stubborness and stayed long after his two siblings.

But when Mistrunner decided to join the ranks of those serving the Tidelord, there was no changing his mind. Since then, only Unseen and Kirameki are those not serving the Tidelord. All of their children possess a strong desire to protect their family the best way they know. Stuttgart has seen all of his children grow into powerful dragons, and with a heavy heart seen them fly away for the last time.

As a result he tries his best to be the rock Rosamunde can rely on, as she feels the pain more acutely than he. Stuttgart gets attached to dragons quickly, and wandering dragons resting will often find themselves being invited by the much friendlier Stuttgart to stay and rest longer. It is he who will encourage Rosamunde to allow those from different flights to stay with them. This has frequently become indefinitely, and their lair consists of many dragons from many backgrounds.

Stuttgart is a keeper of secrets in the clan. When a dragon does not have the courage to tell Rosamunde or other's a problem or secret it is to Stuttgart they come. He knows most of the dragon's in the Aerwyna Clan's pasts and certainly everything that is secret from everyone else. He is a great listener and will offer help and advice when he has it.

Originally, when talk began to arise among the clan of changing allegiance, he fought against it with everything he had. But when the group of them flew out of the sea, he knew it was going to happen no matter what he tried to do to stop it. When Rosamunde told him she would like to step down shortly after, Stuttgart consented and now guides younger ones as a honored clan member.

"Darling, lean on me."

"Ah, the leaping and the flying and the clawing out of eyeballs. That all comes later."

"Did I say that? Truly? My tongue runs faster than my mind sometimes."
