Facade • A superficial appearance or illusion of something.

When one's the leader of several combating clans all sharing the same lair, no weakness can be shown. A strong, solid personality is needed to take the charge and keep the peace between them. Any flaw, any gap in the wall would be immediately exploited to unfairly balance things in the favour of one clan over the other.

A fair bit of snark and sarcasm never hurt, either.

Enough tutorage from the fae in his clan have mostly given Craig the monotone inflection and blank mask needed to seem impartial in solving disputes between the clans. Nothing can fully contain his natural sarcasm and keep it from seeping out when settling particularly petty, stupid issues. It takes a venture far from the clan to let the mask go entirely, to relax and to be himself.

But when does that opportunity ever arise?
