Goals | Since his early schooling Mason has dreamed of being called Guardian. Although the role has ceased to be of any real service to his society, the romantic notion of being a protector calls deeply to him. Even others that know him can tell, despite his youth and naïveté, that he has a natural ability for the task, being patient, loyal, and self-sacrificing.

History | Mason was among the youngest of his classmates and not the brightest of students. Graduation requires a test in the underworld* but while undertaking it, nearly all of Mason's class was slaughtered by Kale. Mason himself nearly met the same fate after stumbling upon the older Rantimar's companion, Venus, but was saved by the strange girl and escaped with his life. He was later found by a group of trackers† hunting Kale and adopted unofficially into their group.


*The underworld is the name given to the earth by Rantimar simply because it exists at a significantly lower altitude than their cities.
†Trackers are a class of Rantimar best compared to a mixture of soldiers and specialized police.
