"Festering Wounds"

Clan Guard


This rather odd-ball male was born from two different clans of the same flight; plague. However, he had chosen his mother's, FiendDeLumine, clan over his father's. Any clan mate can see the striking resemblance of their personalities. Hyperactive, cunning, maybe a little insane, though loyal.
“Festering Wounds” had come up as a fitting name for him around the time he had fully grown ( names in the clan not picked until – 1, they are accepted into the clan – and/or 2, a memorable trait or event presents itself). A buck had been lingering around the outskirts of the clan's territory and FetidaValnera had been assigned to hunt it down as a sort of test while his teacher, Obsi, a retired arena fighter, watched from the skys. Unlike a lot of clan members who stay hidden among the gnarled roots and tall grasses, or even follow from the sky, this young male made himself clearly known to his prey. Smiled snarls and roars shot at the buck as it ran in fear. It's pursuer staying right at it's heels as it ran. Easily keeping in pace with the panicking beast. Nipping at it's legs. Propelling himself onto it's back and clinging on. Snapping marks into it's hide with razor sharp, crooked teeth, before jumping off. Tiring the beast with many wounds. Running itself both out of breath and out of blood.
Not being able to stand this nonsense any longer, Obsi fell from the sky like an arrow and took the buck out of it's misery. Needless to say Fetida was upset that his “game” was over as well as his rather poor grade from his teacher. Playing with and causing your fauna prey, your food, harm was intolerable. Nonetheless this was how the young male earned his name.
Not to mention the offered position as a Clan Guard due to his ruthlessness.
This may not be something Obsi was too pleased with, rewarding the hatchling because of a wrongful act, but he had to let it go. Such violence is needed for that kind of fighting.
